Additional services and resources

These resources are not endorsed by Public Health Dorset, but may be helpful when talking to young people about the facts around vaping:

  • Smokefree Sheffield in collaboration with ASH have been making children and young people aware of the facts about vaping. You can use their campaign resources to show the facts about vaping to your young people.
  • Advice from NHS Better Health: vaping is not for children and young people. For the facts and advice on vaping and how to talk to young people about it, read NHS Better Health's advice.
  • NHS Better Health has produced KS3 form time activities around vaping. These resources and activities can be used by teachers on students to help them learn about social pressures around vaping, its impact, and the effects of nicotine. There is also a document to support one-to-one conversations with young people on vaping.
  • The Talk About Trust is a charity that focuses on helping and educating young people on alcohol, vaping and other substances. They can provide educational materials, lesson plans and train the trainer training to schools to educate young people about making safer choices around alcohol, vaping and other substances. Visit The Talk About Trust for more information.
